Novena of the Healing Hands of Jesus

Healing Hands of Jesus

The Precious Blood of Jesus, poured out in his Passion and Death at the Cross, was the highest price paid for our salvation and reconciliation with God Father: “He was pierced through for our faults…” (Isaiah 53:5a). Only because of His love, even being God, Jesus assumed our human nature “was made flesh, he lived among us” (John 1:14a). Was born in the poverty of the manger and until thirty years old lived secretly in the village of Nazareth. In the last three years of His life, he walked through all Galilee spreading Love and Peace. All those that sought Him had their lives completely transformed and were healed both physically and spiritually. The Divinity of Jesus drove out all evil! His Humanity emerged from his obedience to his Father and his immense humility! His merciful perception would see through even the depth of the hearts! And His Hands “came to serve and not to be served”, could touch, set free and heal immediately. But these Hands that only did many healings, they were unjustly perforated and nailed to a Cross. From the Bloody Hands poured his Redeeming Blood that today, through this Novena, you can and should claim healing for you and for your beloved ones. Praying with much Faith, and expelling evil with Jesus’ Authority by the power of His Healing Hands, healings, liberations, blessings, and miracles will happen in your life and in the life of those who live with you. The thousands of believers that, with this Prayer of the Healing Hands of Jesus, have already been touched, unite with one voice to witness: “and through his wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5b).

Novena pleading the power from the Healing Hands of Jesus

First Day – Faith: “Jesus called out to them, saying, ‘Courage! It is I! Do not be Afraid.’ It was Peter who answered. ‘Lord,’ he said, ‘if it is you, tell me to come to you across the water.’ ‘Come’ said Jesus. Them Peter got out of the boat and started walking towards Jesus across the water, but as soon as he felt the force of the wind, he took fright and began to sink. ‘Lord! Save me!’ he cried. Jesus put out his hand at once and held him. ‘Man of little faith,’ he said, ‘why did you doubt?’ And as they got into the boat the wind dropped. The men in the boat bowed down before him and said, ‘Truly, you are the Son of God’. (Matthew 14:27b-33). Jesus, strong waves of despair have come upon me. Increase my Faith because I am afraid to sink on this sea of anguish and pain. As you did to Peter, I beg you stretch forth Your Mighty Hand to me and with the Authority of God’s Son, tell the evil to turn away from me now and ever. Amen. Repeat many times on this first day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDEEMING BLOOD, I BEG YOU TO INCREASE MY FAITH.” Finish each day of this Novena with the ‘Prayer of Healing Hands of Jesus’ on the back of this brochure.

Second Day – Humility: “Jesus knew that the Father had put everything into his hands, and that he had come from God and was returning towel, wrapped it round his waist; he them poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples’ feet and to wipe them with the towel he was wearing… ‘Do you understand’ he said ‘what I have done to you? You call me Master and Lord, and rightly; so I am. If I, them, the Lord and Master, have washed your feet, you should wash each other’s feet. I have given you an example so that you may copy what I have done to you’.” (John 13:3b-5,12c-15). Jesus, You know that I have served so little and yet I am eager to have others to serve me. I no longer want to be like that! With Your Humble Hands, rip out of me all pride that still stops me from “washing another’s feet”, especially those who are close to me. Amen. Repeat many times on this second day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDEEMING BLOOD, I BEG YOU THE HUMILITY AND THE GIFT OF SERVING OTHERS).”

Third Day – Forgiveness: “The scribes and Pharisees brought a woman along who had been caught committing adultery; and making her stand there in full view of everybody, they said to Jesus, ‘Master, this woman was caught in the very act of committing adultery, and Moses has ordered us in the Law to condemn women like this to death by stoning. What have you to say?’ They asked him this as a test, looking for something to use against him. But Jesus bent down and started writing on the ground with his finger. As they persisted with their question, he looked up and said, ‘If there is one of you who has not sinned, let him be the first to throw a stone at her’. Then be bent down and wrote on the ground again. When they heard this, they went away one by one, beginning with the eldest, until Jesus was left alone with the woman, who remained standing there. He looked up and said, ‘Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?’ ‘No one, sir’ she replied. ‘Neither do I condemn you,’ said Jesus ‘go away, and don’t sin any more’.” (John 8:3-11). Jesus, just like the woman of this gospel I need Forgiveness very much. With Your Holy Hands, touch now and transform my heart, as the stones in the Pharisees’ hands, into a heart of flesh, able to forgive because it was forgiven by You. Amen.

Repeat many times on this third day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDEEMING BLOOD, I BEG FOR YOU FOR FORGIVENESS AND THE GIFT TO LEARN HOW TO FORGIVE.”

Fourth Day - Purity: “People were bringing little children to him, for him to touch them. The disciples turned them away, but when Jesus saw this he was indignant and said to them, ‘Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the Kingdom of God belongs. I tell you solemnly, anyone who does not welcome the Kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.’ Then he put his arms round them, laid his hands on them and gave them his blessing.” (Mark 10:13-16). Jesus, turn Your gaze back to my childhood when I was only filled with purity. Let me have that pure heart again. With You I know that is possible! With Your most Pure Hands, purify my spirit and bring me back the joy of making this poor heart your home. Amen.

Repeat many times on this fourth day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDEEMING BLOOD, I BEG YOU TO PURIFY MY HEART.”

Fifth Day – Healing (physical, psychological, and spiritual): “As they left Jericho a large crowd followed him. Now there were two blind men sitting at the side of the road. When they heard that it was Jesus who was passing by, they shouted, ‘Lord! Have pity on us, Son of David.’ And the crowd scolded them and told them to keep quiet, but they only shouted more loudly, ‘Lord! Have pity on us, Son of David.’ Jesus stopped, called them over and said, ‘What do you want me to do for you?’ They said to him, ‘Lord, let us have our sight back’. Jesus felt pity for them and touched their eyes, and immediately their sight returned and they followed him.” (Matthew 20:29-34). I put myself today on Your Path to pray: “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Lord, take a look at me and see how much my body and mind and soul are in desperately need to be cured. Put Your Miraculous Hands on me and perform this profound and total healing that I so much hope for, in order I can serve you more and better. Amen.

Repeat many times on this fifth day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDEEMING BLOOD, I BEG FOR MY PROFOUND AND TOTAL HEALING.”

Sixth Day – Bread of Life: “Now as they were eating, Jesus took some bread, and when he had said the blessing he broke it and gave it to the disciples. ‘Take it and eat;’ he said ‘this is my body.’ Then he took a cup, and when he had returned thanks he gave it to them. ‘Drink all of you from this,’ he said ‘for this is my blood, the blood of the new covenant, which is to be poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins’.” (Matthew 26:26-28). Jesus, my hearth overflows with gratitude for knowing that, even though I knew I would never be worthy of receiving such a grace, You made Yourself food on the altar, offering yourself to me by the hands of priests and ministers, extensions of Your Generous Hands. Allow me the grace to of Always search for you with fervor so that I don´t give up in the middle of the journey to encounter You. Amen.

Repeat many times on this sixth day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDDEMING BLOOD, I BEG THAT I NEVER BE WITHOUT THE BREAD OF LIFE.”

Seventh Day – The Cross: “When they reached the place called The Skull, they crucified him there and the two criminals also, one on the right, the other on the left… It was now about the sixth hour and, with the sun eclipsed, a darkness came over the whole land until the ninth hour. The veil of the Temple was torn right down the middle; and when Jesus had cried out in a loud voice, he said, ‘Father, into your hands I commit my spirit’.” (Luke 23:33.44-46a). Jesus, today I understand why have you embraced Your Cross with so much love. It was through it that you proved Your eternal love for me and conquered my salvation at the cost of Your Precious Blood. With the help of Your Wounded Hands, from now on, I want to embrace my cross with love because I understand that only through it can I be eternally happy with You. Amen.

Repeat many times on this seventh day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDDEMING BLOOD, I BEG FOR THE GRACE OF BEARING MY CROSS EVERY DAY.”

Eighth Day - Our Mother: “Near the cross of Jesus stood his mother… Seeing his mother and the disciple he loved standing near her, Jesus said to his mother, ‘Woman, this is your son’. Then to the disciple he said, ‘This is your mother’. And from that moment the disciple made a place for her in his home.” (John 19:25a.26-27). Jesus, Your mother was the first person to see, hold and kiss Your Little Hands in Belem, and was also the first person to see, hold and kiss Your beloved Hands wounded, and covered with blood when they placed your dead body on her lap. Accepting Mary and calling her my Mother is to desire that she be with me, leading me by the hand, now and at the hour of my death, as she has always been with you. Amen.

Repeat many times on this eighth day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDDEMING BLOOD, I BEG FOR THE PRESENCE OF MARY TOGETHER WITH ME.”

Ninth Day - Perseverance: “The doors were closed, but Jesus came in and stood among them. ‘Peace be with you’ he said. Then he spoke to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here; look, here are my hands. Give me your hand; put it into my side. Doubt no longer but believe.’ Thomas replied, ‘My Lord and my God!’” (John 20:26b-28). Jesus, in Your Risen Hands and extended toward me, I place my life, and I grant You, my Lord and my God, full freedom to dispose of me according to Your Holy Will. Just give me the grace of total fidelity until the last minute of my life and I will be eternally grateful to You. Amen.

Repeat many times on this ninth day the following the prayer: “JESUS, BY THE POWER OF YOUR REDDEMING BLOOD, I BEG FOR THE GRACE OF BEING FAITHFUL TO YOU FOREVER.”

Prayer of the Healing Hands of Jesus

(Final prayer to end each day of the Novena)

“Jesus, lay Your blessed and healing hands, pierced, and opened over me at this moment. I feel every weak to go on bearing my Crosses. I need the strength and power of Your Hands, that suffered the deepest pain when nailed to the Cross, raise me up and heal me now. Jesus, I pray not only for me but also for those I love. We are desperate for your physical and spiritual healing, through the blessing from your Healing and Immensely Powerful Hands. I admit that, despite all my human limitations and the infinity of my sins, that You are God, Omnipotent and Merciful, to accomplish the impossible. With faith and total trust, I say: ‘HEALING HANDS OF JESUS, HANDS WOUNDED ON THE CROSS! COME AND TOUCH ME. COME, LORD JESUS!’”

And the end of each day, after reading the Novena, pray once: the prayer above, the Lord’s Prayer and ‘Glory Be to the Father’, in thanksgiving for the blessings and miracles to be achieved by the Healing Hands of Jesus through this Novena.
